Port Blair, Apr 8: The Chairman, PBMC, Mr M Arumugam inaugurated the newly constructed Dining Hall behind Community Hall, Haddo on Wednesday. The Junior Vice Chairman, Mr Hema Rao, Chairman, FTA Sub Committee, Mr K Ganeshan, Councillors and officials of the Council were present on the occasion. The facility has been constructed at an approximate cost of Rs 8.5 lakh.
In his address, Mr Arumugam said that the inauguration of the Dining Hall has fulfilled a long pending demand of the public of the area. He urged people to ensure proper maintenance of the facility and to discard garbage in the nearby dustbins to enable the sanitary workers to dispose of the trash properly. The Councillor, Ward no. 2, Mr Hema Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
