Port Blair, Mar 27: Miss V.K Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha along with the officials of Engineering Wing Zilla Parishad, South Andaman visited various sites to inspect the progress of the ongoing works such as “Construction of Graveyard Shed at Stewartgunj, Construction of rural road towards Bangla Pahad, Construction of Mini Stadium at Shoal Bay and Development of Children’s Park at Wimberlygunj.” and directed them to complete all works within 15 days.
In her presence, the works for the “Improvement of rural road at Mathura” was started where she asked the contractor and Engineering Wing to complete the work by maintaining good quality at the earliest. She also inspected the site of earthen bunds at Dundas Point and Port Mout, where the sluice gate has to be fixed so that the submerged land of the farmers can be reclaimed.
The villagers of the area had expressed their happiness in starting these works.
