Mayabunder, Mar 08: In the eve of International Woman day a seminar was conducted at Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College Mayabunder in the Topic Empowerment of Women prosperity of Nation. A good numbers of students & staff’s keenly participated in the seminar.
This was followed by a brief cultural program, Dr. R.N. Rath , Principal, MGGC was the chief guest on the occasion, who stressed upon the topic that without the empowerment of woman the prosperity of nation is unthinkable. He expressed his happiness that the socio- economic and political measures are being taken in this end and Govt. had taken strong measures for the social security for the women folks. He further, emphasized for the larger participation of women in village, District land state level competition and expressed his happiness that the girl’s students are excelling in sports, academic and extracurricular activities in enthusiastic way.
The program was concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, HOD, Anthropology and History.
