Port Blair, Mar 02: During the course of investigation of the 24 Kgs Drug/Ganja case, the investigating team of Central Crime Station (CID) developed information about the main culprit involved in this racket and succeeded in confirming his location as well as his movement in Tamil Nadu. Thereafter, a police team consisting of SI Usman Ali, HC Ram Nag and HG(R) Shanmugam was deputed to Tamil Nadu, who put their sincere efforts and succeeded in arresting the main accused of the 24 kgs Ganja case namely D. Sasi Kumar R/o Siruvanthadu, Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu.
The aforesaid accused is presently lodged in District Jail Prathrapur. With this arrest the total number of persons arrested in this case has gone up to 09.
