Port Blair, Feb 27: In a simple function held on 27th February 2015 at 3.00 PM M. Arumugam Chairperson, PBMC issued orders to 350 senior most Daily Rated Sanitary Mazdoors as well as DRMs attached to Work section and other section of the Council who were brought on to Casual Mazdoors and granted wages @1/30 of the pay at the minimum of the relevant pay scale plus Dearness allowance and leave benefits as admissible under the rule with immediate effect.
All the Councilors of Port Blair Municipal Council were also present in the function. The Chairperson and Councilors thanked the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands , Chief Secretary, Commissioner Cum Secretary (UD) and Secretary, PBMC for supporting the Council, to achieve this great task in a short span of time. The Chairperson also expressed his gratitude and stated that without the support of the Administration, the PBMC would not be able to achieve this task. The Port Blair Municipal Council expect the same support in future also for achieving such kind of noble task for the betterment of the workers of the PBMC as well as populac of Port Blair town.
