Port Blair, Feb 26: On 26/02/15, acting upon a tip of information regarding Gambling, a police party of CID consisting of ASI Rakesh Singh, HCs Thimmiraj, Ibrahim Ali, PCs Milton Baul, Arun Xaxa, Birbal Ram, Tamil Selvam and Suraj Kumar conducted a raid at the parking area of VSI Airport and apprehended 04 persons namely (1) A. Humayun (34 yrs) R/o Haddo, (2) K. Ramjan Peer Mohideen (34 yrs) R/o Haddo, (3) S. Koteswaran (33 yrs) R/o Dollygunj and (4) M. Megaraj (27 yrs) R/o Rest Camp and recovered an amount of Rs. 11490/- (rupees eleven thousand four hundred ninety only). All the aforesaid persons were arrested from the spot and a challan under the appropriate sections of A & N Gambling Regulation 1951 has been chalked out against them at PS CCS.
