Port Blair, Feb 25: Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Port Blair has been awarded Second prize {2013-2014} for best implementation of official language policy in Andaman and Nicobar Islands by Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Deptt. of Official Language.
The award was given by Honourable Governor of West Bengal Shri Kesari Nath Tripathi to Dr. S. Dam Roy, Chairman, Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Port Blair and Director, ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair. A merit certificate for excellence in the work was also awarded to Smt. Sulochana, Secretary, TOLIC, CIARI in an award function by Regional Implementation Office (Eastern Region) at Kolkata on 18.02.2015.
On this occasion, TOLIC annual magazine ‘’DWEEP TARANG’’ was also released by Smt. Poonam Juneja, Joint Secretary, Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Deptt. of Official Language alonwith other dignitaries.
