Port Blair, Dec 23: Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) is a non-religious and non-political organization having its head office in New Delhi and having enrolment of prominent citizens from different walks of life including retired defence personnel, as its members.
This organization which is engaged in the study, Analysis and dissemination of information concerning National Security is organizing a special programme at Port Blair to mark the first flag hoisting of the Indian National Flag and declaration of India’s Independence by Subash Chandra Bose on 30th December 1943 from Andaman soil, about 78 delegates are arriving here on 28th & 29th December to participate in the commemorate programme which will be held on 30th December 2014 at Netaji Stadium.
The delegates will also participate in a meeting and discuss security and development related issues in islands context on 29th December 2014 at 6:00 pm in JNRM Auditorium, Port Blair.
The visiting delegates of FANS hailing from different states of Indian Union will also visit historically important places in the Islands before returning back to mainland on 02nd January 2015.
The delegation is led by Air Marshal (Retd) Dr. R.C Bajpal, AVSM, the President of the Forum.
