Port Blair, Dec 14: The Human Rights Organization today celebrated World Human Rights day in the HRO office. During the programme the Human Rights Organization felicitated some distinctive personalities with a trophy and ‘shawl’ for their selfless service to the local society.
Islanders who were felicitated during the programme were Smti. Shahnaz Khan, Social Worker, Bhramachai Devi, Pranab Kanya Sangh, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Film Director, Mr. Ravi, Social Worker, Mr. Ravinder Rao, General Manger, ANSCB, Mr. K Mummy, musician, Mr. Vivigan, NGO Step Aid India, Mr. Sanjib Kumar Roy, Editor Andaman Sheekha.
In his address Mr. Karuna Nidhi, the President of HRO informed about the activities of Human Rights Organisation and expressed gratitude towards all members of HRO for their support. Mr. C.Saravanan, General Secretary of HRO conducted the programme.
