Port Blair, Dec 03: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has organised a Branch Managers’ Meet 2014 jointly with NABARD, R.O, Port Blair on Sunday, 30th November, 2014 at the Conference Hall of the bank. Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the bank was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme begins with the lightening of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Managing Director, senior officials of the bank and the Branch Manager.
Shri. Thomas Daniel, GM (Bkg) welcomed the gathering followed by key note address by Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director of the bank. The Managing Director has appraised the various initiatives undertaken by the bank in the recent times including the NEFT and RTGS. He has urged all the Branch Managers to work effectively in the most efficient manner i.e. welfare of the Customer.
A training session on Self Help Group (SHG), Joint Liability Group (JLG) and various developmental schemes were also discussed in detail by Shri. G Tarai, General Manager, NABARD, Regional Office Port Blair in the presence of Shri. R K Thanvi, DGM, NABARD and Smt. Shaban Banu, Assistant Manager, NABARD.
At the conclusion, the Mayabunder branch has been adjured 1st Prize as the Best bank branch with respect to the financial position as on 31.03.2014 followed by Diglipur branch as 2nd and Garacharma II as 3rd position.
