Port Blair, Dec 02: A heavy traffic jam was seen today at 5:45 PM at Prothrapur Junction, vehicles were stuck in the junction for more than half an hour while as there was no traffic police personnel to control the traffic. Taking lead a few people themselves started clearing the traffic.
According to reports, after 20 minutes two police men reached the junction for clearing the traffic, who also struggled hard to clear the traffic.
Andaman Sheekha also learnt that there are only three traffic police personnel at Tylerabad Police Station, who were recently transferred from Aberdeen Police Station to handle the traffic at Bhathubasti. But it is difficult to understand that why the Police department has deputed only three traffic police personnel at Tylerabad police station when the area of PS Tylerabad is larger than PS Aberdeen. There are more than 100 traffic police personnel are at Aberdeen Police station.
