Port Blair, Nov.24: Non-Government Organization namely YUVASAKTHI has been forming and guiding various women self help groups in and around South Andaman as well as part of the North & Middle Andaman areas. Apart from forming self help groups, the NGO also arrange financial assistance through the state Bank of India for promoting self-employment/ livelihood activities among women SHG members.
As part of this initiative, four self help groups namely ABHIMANYU SHG, SHARON SHG, SAGAR SHG and INDUJA SHG, all belong to south Andaman area have been extended financial assistance amounting to Rs. 5,25,000/- in total.
Cheque towards this assistance was handed over to the representative of the self help groups concerned in a simple ceremony held in the conference hall of YUVASAKTHI at Toor Niwas, RGT Road on 22nd Nov.2014 at 10.30am in presence of Founder Members and office bearers of Yuvasakthi.
