Port Blair, Nov 11: The National Education Day celebrated at IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair, the function was presided over by Dr. S. Vijayaragavan, Regional Director (I/c), IGNOU, RC, Port Blair.
He spoke the importance of education in these Islands for sustainable development in all fields and IGNOU recognizes the importance of sustainable and affordable high quality education and course, across disciplines to meet the lifelong education, training, capacity building and public services at anywhere in India for promote the Higher Education. The function Chief Guest addressed by Dr. J.S. Manhas, Associate Professor, JNRM College. He emphasized the skill based Education to develop the country at all level and Dr. Vijay Tyagi, Associate Professor, JNRM College, Dr. Rajavel, HOD (Commerce), JNRM College and Dr. Bhagel, Associate Professor, JNRM College highlighted to the students the importance of Higher Education in India & also the island peoples. The function ended with vote of thanks.
