Port Blair, Nov 10: The Anti- Corruption Department today caught a Junior Engineer of Electricity Department, Mr. Ajay Kumar, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 for providing new electric connection.
According to details available here the JE was posted in Manglutan Site office and has been allegedly demanding money for providing new electric connection. Based on complaint a trap was laid by Anti-Corruption Department today and the JE was caught while accepting the bribe. According to details the JE will be produced to court tomorrow.
