Port Blair, Oct 30: On 31st October 2014, Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College Mayabunder will celebrate Rastriya Ekta Divas on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Bllabh Bhai Patel. In this connection college authority has decided to organize various programme throughout the day in different phases.
In its 1st phase in the early morning at 6.30AM a unity march shall be held from DANAPU CHAWLK to DC office, Mayabunder by the college students and staffs. It is expected around 300 students and staffs will participate in the march.
In the Second phase of the programme there will be buoyant tribute and garlanding of the portrait of SARDAR BLLABH BHAI PATEL by students, staffs other invited dignitaries. It will be followed by Seminar on the Topic “Contribution of Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel to India’s Unity and Integrity”.
In the third phases of the programme there will be another Seminar in the Topic,”20 Years of Panchayat Raj in Andaman & Nicobar Islands – success and failures”. In which PRI members all 3 tires i.e. Pradhans, Samity Members and Zilaparishad Members will attain the Seminar. On the Occasion Shri K.ShriNivasan, Zilaparishad Adhyaksh, North & Middle Andaman will be the Chief Guest and Shri Sony Thomas, Up Adhyaksh North & Middle Andaman will be the Guest of honour.
In its fourth phases NCC Cadet and NSS Volunteers will participate in concluding ceremony at Netaji Sports Complex at Mayabunder in the evening.
