Port Blair, Oct 27: Ms. Tanvi Garg, IAS Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman today formally inaugurated the special window for providing stamp papers of all denominations in the annexed building of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District.
All denominations of stamp papers have been made available at this counter. This was a long pending demand of the general public. Residents purchasing stamp papers at the single window expressed satisfaction at the timely availability of stamps and stamp papers.
Mr. Gopal Bhowmick, R/o Chouldhary expressed his happiness “It is indeed a good initiative by the District Administration. Earlier we have to wait 4-5 days to get stamp papers for sale deed. Now with this facility, we can get the stamps and stamp papers anytime.”
The special window for selling of stamps and stamp papers shall be functional on all office working days from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM and stamp papers of all denomination right from Five Rupees to Ten Thousand Rupees are readily available at the counter.
