Diglipur, Oct 24: The Internal group politics of BJP A & N Islands has now taken a murky turn. Diglipur’s BJP unit is said to be divided into ‘B’ and ‘V’ groups. When MP reached Diglipur first time after winning elections the ‘V’ group didn’t turn up for the public meeting. Even during statue installation protest the ‘V’ group was missing.
BJP’s internal meeting was proposed today at 10 AM at BJP office, Diglipur. The BJP District President Mrs. Kiran Tigga was chairing the meeting and her husband Mr. Sinivas Rao was sitting beside her.
Soon there was some heated argument between Mrs. Kiran Tigga, North and Middle Andaman District BJP President and Mr. Babul Biswas, Secretary State Committee and sources say that she was manhandled by Mr. Babul Biswas and a few others during the meeting.
When Police reached the spot, the police team reportedly found that Tigga was sitting without a Saari and her blouse was torn off, in some places.
Both, Tigga and Biswas were taken to the Hospital for medical examination. The Medical examination was reportedly held at CHC Diglipur and Police as per statement of District President Mrs. Kiran Tigga filed an FIR NO 91/14 U/Sec 354/323/34 IPC and arrested six people, Babul Biswas, Chittaranjan Biswas, Tapan Biswas, Basudev Biswas, Nagen Baroi, Ratan Chandra Maithi.
They will be produced before CJM, Mayabunder tomorrow.
Meanwhile Babul Biswas filed an NCFIR bearing No. 171/14 323/504 of IPC against Kiram Tigga and Srinivas Rao claiming innocence. As he was arrested he could not be reached for a comment.

“Today a meeting was called in connection with an internal matter when I asked Secretary Mr. Sudarshan to ask only authorized party members to attend the meeting, as some All India Trinamool Congress members were also present during the meeting, Mr. Babul shouted at me and said who are you to ask non members to leave,” She said.
“I was sitting and my husband was sitting beside me suddenly someone in that group caught my hair and when I tried to wear my sandals, I was attacked again and beaten. When my husband tried to help me he was caught by three men and he was also beaten by them,” Tigga added.
