Port Blair, Oct 21: The Global Iodine Deficiency Disorder Deficiency Prevention Day observed in JNRM in a befitting way by organising the seminar on “Iodine Deficiency Disorder Deficiency & its Prevention”.
Dr Iqbal Ahmad, Principal, JNRM was the Chief Guest on the occasion and while addressing he encouraged the students to work in the islands by adopting national agenda such Iodine Deficiency. Dr H K Sharma, Associate Professor & HOD, Department of Chemistry while motivating the students spoke on the importance of Iodine and its deficiency.
Shri K.Venkatesan, Assistant Professor & HOD, Department of Homescience also dwelt upon the need for students involvement in propagating the message to the needy in rural areas. Around 7 students of B.Sc Chemistry and Homescience took part in the seminar.
