Port Blair, Oct 14: Three gamblers were arrested by the Police team of Special Branch (CID) on 13/10/2010 night.
In continuation of fight against illegal activities, a Police team comprising of ASI Rakesh Singh, Head Constable Timmi Raj, Ibrahim Ali, Ajeesh Kumar, Constable Senthil Kumar and Milton Baul of Special Branch (CID), on a tip of information, conducted a raid at Dairy Farm near Lall Bijan and arrested three persons namely Yogesh Rao, aged 38 yrs. R/o School Line, Sanju Kumar Indwar, aged 30 yrs. R/o Dairy Farm and A. Raja, aged 31 yrs. R/o Dairy Farm and recovered Rs 5165/- (Rupees five thousand one hundred sixty five only) including stake money Rs. 3125/- (Rupees three thousand one hundred twenty five only) from the spot. They were challaned under the Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation.
