Port Blair, Oct. 13: As per the directions of the Lt. Governor to carry-out the damage assessment due to the impact of the cyclonic storm ‘HudHud’, tehsil-wise damage assessment teams have been constituted under South Andaman District to carry-out the task on war-footing basis so that it would be completed in a time-bound manner and the affected persons could be given compensation as per the norms.
The damage assessment of some of the villages such as Manglutan, Chouldari, Dhanikhari, Nayashar, Guptapara, Wandoor, Hasmatabad, Sippighat, Garacharama, Calicut, Teylerabad and Havelock have been completed and the assessment for other villages will be completed within 3 days, a press release said here.
