Port Blair, Aug 20: Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training College (RGCTC) has today started course on Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management under the aegis of National Council for Cooperative Training, New Delhi, at its registered College at Teylerabad .The inaugural programme was attended by the Chairman, ANSCU Kuldeep Rai Sharma as Chief Guest.
Kuldeep, thanking the AN Administration for their constant support for the development of cooperative sectors, has stated that for undergoing this training which is a job oriented course in Govt and other sectors, the local aspirants have to go to mainland based colleges which involve a good financial involvement but since the RGCTC has started this course which is approved by the Govt of India, the eligible students may now get the same at Port Blair itself and thus save hard earned money of their parents.
Kuldeep has stated that since there is very limited scope of employment in these islands, undergoing training in such kind of advanced courses will produce qualified corporators who can venture to develop and encourage people to form cooperative in sectors viz tourism, fisheries and agriculture, IT and Vetenary etc thereby generating self employment. College has a very friendly atmosphere with excellent faculties who are always ready to help their students and requested the local aspirants to get benefit of the course.Kuldeep has also informed that very shortly the College will be starting more course viz MBA and junior diploma course in cooperative management.
Suresh Babu, the Principal has elaborated the course structure for the knowledge of the invitees. Managing Director, ANS cooperative Bank Ravinder Rao, Rashid, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Society have recorded their praise for the management of the college for introducing such job oriented course in the college for the welfare of the students of the islands.
