Port Blair, Aug 03: The Fisheries Department officials today confiscated dozens of packets of fish seed illegally imported from Kolkata by a Sippighat Resident. Each packet of fish seed contained thousands of fish seeds, probably smuggled from Bangladesh, it is believed. The seeds were later disposed under the supervision of senior officials of fisheries department. The person who brought these fish seeds have been identified as Ranjit Mandal, resident of Sippighat.
