Port Blair, July 19: Miss. V.K Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman yesteday inaugurated a Black Top Rural Road at Bambooflat in the presence of Ms. Rashmi Krishnan, IAS, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, Zilla Parishad Member, Shore Point Constituency. Mr. Anand Amrit Raj, Up- Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, Zilla Parishad Member, Up-Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Ferrargunj and Pradhans, Panchayat Samiti Member of the concerned Gram Panchayat area, PRI member, other invited guest and general public were also present.
She also inaugurated a Water Supply Scheme at North Bay under Hope Town Gram Panchayat.
Miss. V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman dedicated both rural road and the water supply scheme to the local residents and informed that Zilla Parishad shall always strive to provide the best possible services for the benefit of the rural people.
It was a great and joyous moment for the residents of Bambooflat and Hope Town as both the works were long pending demands of the local residents and they expressed their gratitude and satisfaction for this remarkable achievement.
