Port Blair, July 15: On July 07, 2014, Mr. Bhim Raj, a 38 year old youth working in Port Blair Municipal Council had died at Sisty Nagar due to alleged negligence of Ambulance Drivers. The driver had allegedly refused to extend any help to pick up the patient, which caused delay and subsequently death of the patient.
Now it has been learnt from DHS sources that taking serious note of the news the Lt. Governor has directed the DHS to conduct an inquiry in this regard. For now, according to reports the Driver has been placed under suspension. Further details are awaited.
