Port Blair, July 15: As a part of 100 days agenda for grievance Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat organized one day Theme based Awareness and Education programme on 10/07/2014 at Community hall, Kausalyanagar in which 60 youths for different place participated.
On the occasion Mr. Deepak Debnath, Sarpanch of Kausalyanagar gram Panchayat was the chief guest and he inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Under the programme the topics/lecture on voluntarism, general health problems, skill development, women empowerment and environment was involved and delivered by Mr. Krishna Swamy, PGT, Govt.Ser.Sec.School, Bakultala, Mr. Arvinda Biswas, MPHW (m) medical department Kausalyanagar,Smti S.Sunitha Kumari, Industry Promotion Officer, Bakultala, Miss Sabnam Majeed, Extention Block development office, Rangat and Mr. Paddev,Assistant conservator of Forest, Forest department, Rangat respectively.
On the other hand as a part of Vanmahotsav the youths gathered at the programme planted 50 saplings around the playground of Govt. Secondary School, Kausalyanagar. Before planting of sapling Mr. Padmadev, Assistant Conservator of forest, Forest Department, Rangat inaugurated the programme by planting of sapling. On the occasion Mr. A. Joseph, Forest Ranger Bakultala, Mr. Deepak Debnath, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Kausalyanagar and Mr. Arun Kumar, Camp Officer, Forest department, Bakultala were also present and planted saplings.
All the National Youth Corps and Staffs of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat also planted sapling at the site. At the end of the programme Mr. Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat proposed vote of thanks to all.
