Port Blair, July 15: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider modernize ambulance services for the convenience of the patients. In his letter appreciating the remarkable changes brought by him in these islands within one year of his taking over the charges of Administrator for the welfare of the general public, Kuldeep has requested the Lt Governor to kindly consider introducing modernize Ambulance services in these islands since at present the serious patients, expectant mothers old age persons etc from Diglipur, Mayabuner, Rangat, Kadamtala, Baratang, South Andaman and other far flung villages are being brought to GB Pant Hospital for immediate treatment, being referred by their respective PHC and CHC hospitals and they have to suffer various trouble while shifting them through present ambulances. But if the Administrator considers modernize ambulances for them as a welfare measure, the patients will get handy services of ECG, comfortable stretchers, air condition, firsts aids, low jerking etc within the Ambulance.
