Port Blair, March 27: Soon after the Tsunami in the Islands many parents had shifted their school going children to mainland by getting transfer certificate from their respective schools due to fear. But after three to six months, when things started getting normal these children were brought back to the Islands by their parents and re-admitted in the respective schools.
For such acts of the parents, many children are deprived of getting ten years continuous study certificate viz. and also deprived of the facilities which other students having requisite certificate viz. duration certificate.
Since the parents had taken TC of their children after the Tsunami, is neither the fault of the parents as every parent wants to save their children from such natural disaster nor the fault of the children who were taken to mainland by their parents, the State President BJP said here in a communication.
Taking up the matter before the Chief Secretary, the State President BJP, Mr. R Mohan has requested for considering such cases. Mohan said that an order to condemn such a lapse of period of at least six months would enable these children to get the benefits of having studied for a continuous period of 10 years in these islands.
