Port Blair, June 02: The Directorate of Education has arranged a farewell / Blessing Ceremony to send the 15 members Island School Rowing team along with Manager Munjula Rai PST, an International Rower to Kolkata to represent the Island School Rowing team in the 42nd KC Mahendra All India Invitation Schools’ Regatta-2014 to be held at Rabindra Sarobar, Kolkata from 8th to 15th June, 2014.
In a blessing ceremony Shri. Dharmendra Kumar,Deputy Director (Education) has advised the participants to concentrate their aim to achieve the goal and to win laurels for these Islands. Sr. Officers of Education Department were also present during the ceremony and wished the team to perform well in the Championship and to come up with flying colours. The team left Port Blair by the sailing of MV Harshavardhana Ex Port Blair to Kolkata on today the 02nd June,2014 to reach Kolkata well in time.
