Port Blair, June 02: Mr. M.A Salam, Director of Agriculture, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has retired from government service on 31st May, 2014 on attaining superannuation. He has completed more than 36 years of service in the Agriculture Department. A farewell was accorded to him on 30th May, 2014 by the Officers and staff of the Directorate of Agriculture.
Dr GS Pandey, Joint Director (AE), Mr. Mantu Biswas, Joint Director (Agri) and other officers and staff recalled the valuable services rendered by Mr. MA Salam to the department. Mr. M.A. Salam held the post of Director of Agriculture from March, 2002 to January, 2004 and from September, 2006 till 31st May, 2014.
