Port Blair, May 28: Prospectus-cum-application forms for admission to four year integrated courses in education viz. B.A. B.Ed. in English, B.Sc. B.Ed. in Computer Science and B.Sc. B.Ed. in Maths for the academic session 2014-2015 is available in Tagore Govt. College of Education, Port Blair.
Four year integrated course in Education is designed as integrated programmes of Teacher Education aimed to prepare competent teachers for school education. Candidates seeking admission to these courses must have passed 10+2 examination of a recognized board in the concerned subject. It is of four year duration organized on the semester pattern with two semesters in each year with total eight semesters.
The course of study includes general education consisting of language (Hindi and English) and specialized subjects. The professional part of the course consists of studies in the foundations, general and special methodology and a comprehensive internship programme in the field. It is a course of highly specialized nature of teacher education where a student is given specialized training to become a teacher soon after he completes schooling along with academic subjects.
Desirous candidates can obtain the prospectus-cum-application forms on payment from the college sales counter on all working days from May 28, 2014. The last date for submission of filled in application for admission to four years integrated courses is June 20, 2014, a communication from the Principal, TGCE said here today.
