I am pleased to learn that the Earth Day 2014 is being celebrated in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 22 April 2014, alongwith the rest of the country and the world. The theme this year is “Green Cities”.
The Andaman and Nicobar Administration is organising various events and activities to generate awareness among masses keeping in view the three key elements viz. Energy, Green Buildings and Transportation.
On this occasion, let us rededicate ourselves to protect our precious, planet, -EARTH- by Conversing Energy, Constructing Eco Friendly Houses and Reducing Emission of Green House Gases for a better and healthy living environment with sustainable growth and development and keep our Islands clean and green.
