Port Blair, Apr 11: There is a requirement of trained tourist guides in the National Memorial Cellular Jail and other heritage places. In order to train the youth in the field of heritage, museum, public communication and personality development, a comprehensive training programme for Youth shall be undertaken by the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration during 24th -26th April 2014 at the premises of the Cellular Jail. Interested young boys and girls having minimum qualification of XII standard may apply for attending 2 days Training programme –cum-workshop on 24th and 25th April .A refresher course shall also be conducted for the trained Tourists Guides on 26th April 2014 .Those Tourist Guides who have either attended the training programme organized by the Department or those who are already offering services to various establishments as Tourists Guides may apply for undergoing Refresher’s Course.
