Port Blair, Mar 23: A dance and music workshop is being organized for the benefit of Islanders during this Summer. Ave Marvellous Creations is organizing a Music Workshop for Drums and Digital Percussion and Keyboards while Naach Academy of Performing Arts is organizing workshops on Salsa, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop. The Music workshop is a joint venture between Ave Marvellous Creations and Tarang Trades, a musical instruments outlet.
Children above the age of 5 are eligible for the Dance workshops while anybody above the age of 10 years can participate in the Music workshop.
All the resource persons for the workshops being held are coming from Mumbai and Kolkata. The Drums and keyboards workshop would commence from the 21st of April and would end on the 30th of June. Its a Two month workshop with an additional ten days thrown in for a performance practice. A show would be put up for the participants to showcase their talent.
The Dance workshop would commence on the 1st of April and would end on the 30th of June making it a three months long workshop.
Private lessons would also be given if candidates are interested in pursuing a crash course in professional playing and dancing. Certificates shall be issued to participants of both the workshops.
