Port Blair, Mar 11: The Organising Committee of RSC Cricket Tournament today sought for ban of Police Teams in all tournaments organized by RSC, Port Blair.
In a letter addressed to the RSC Chairman the Organising Secretary today said that today at1215 hrs, during RSC T-20 Cricket Tournament quarter final, the IRBN team was scheduled to play with VS NISHA XI. But neither IRBn team played the game nor informed the RSC about withdrawal from the game.
“IRBN is a part of A & N Police and allowing one team ( A & N Police) to participate in quarterfinal and withdrawing another team (IRBN) at crucial stage is a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of RSC Port Blair, which is involved in regular conduct of various tournament,” the Organizing Secretary wrote.
Now it will be on RSC Chairman to decide whether Police Team will be banned from participating in any RSC tournaments.
