Port Blair, February 3: The Lt Governor has ordered the preparation of a vision document for the A&N Islands–to be called ‘Andaman and Nicobar Vision Document-2027’. This will be a long term plan for the development of A&N Islands and will contain the guiding principles for implementing the development plans.
A Committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, comprising of officers of the Administration, members of the civil society and all other stake holders. This document will be finalized after wide ranging consultations with all concerned. It will be comprehensive document and cover all aspects of development in these Islands. The draft of the vision document shall be finalized by 30th April, 2014.
