Dr. Sudip Chakraborty
Port Blair, Feb 25: Dr. J. Gandhi, GI Surgeon trained at Royal Free College, Hampstead, U.K., at present working at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, has given a lively interactive lecture on treatment of Portal Hypertension at Hotel Megapode, on 23.02.2014.
The lecture was well attended by nearly 40 doctors of Port Blair. Not only he shared his 15 years of expertise in GI surgery but also explained the latest treatment of portal hypertension. He remarked that though A & N Islands have a small population but still there are a large number of people with portal hypertension because of rampant alcohol addiction. He offered his services to islanders by joining Chakraborty Multi Specialty Hospital as a visiting GI Surgeon.
The programme was presided by Dr. S.S. Singh, Medical Specialist, GBPH & vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ashok Subramanium, ENT – Specialist, GBPH.
