Port Blair, Feb 07: During his recent visit to Kamorta Islands the PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma was shocked to know that except in Vikas Nagar Village, other villages of Kamorta Islands have no filter bed and getting raw water.
People of various villages have also met the PCC chief and requested the visiting PCC Chief to get their problem of solved so that they get filtered water for their consumption.
Taking concern of the health of the Tribal people, Kuldeep has immediately met the Executive Engineer, APWD, Kamorta and requested for filter bed for every villages of Kamorta islands so that the tribal people get filtered water and are saved from water born deceases. The EE, APWD has assured to look into the matter.
