Port Blair, Feb 03: An unknown NGO has started collecting money from General Public in name of ‘Financial Assistance’ for two children, whose parents were killed in Andaman’s tourist boat tragedy.
An Advertisement for collection of donation has been released in local cable but soon it was removed when the cable owner found that the advertisement is unreliable.
The Tourist Boat Tragedy is a real emotional issue for every islander. After the accident a lot of people came forward and put their own money to send all bodies back to Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu and for that nobody asked for any money from anyone.
Andaman Sheekha request readers to verify the credential of any such NGO who are collecting money in name of Tourist Boat Tragedy. The Police Department should also keep an eye on such organizations, who are collecting donation from public, in name of boat tragedy.
