Port Blair, January 6: As part of the Island Tourism Festival, 2014, which is held every year at Port Blair, renowned Grammy Award Winner Padmashree Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (on Mohan Veena) will be performing at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Auditorium, Port Blair on 15th January at 6 pm. He will be accompanied by Pandit Ram Kumar Misra on Tabla.
The duo will be performing on Indian classical instruments. Pandit Vishwa Mohan has mesmerized the world with his pristine, pure, delicate yet fiery music; Pt. Vishwa Mohan has attracted the western world by his indianisation of the western Hawaiian guitar with perfect assimilation of sitar, sarod and veena techniques, by giving it an evolutionary design and shape and adding 14 more strings which led to the establishment of Mohan Veena to an unbelievable heights.
Being a powerhouse performer Pandit Vishwa Mohan has always enthralled audiences both in India and abroad. Pandit Ram Kumar Misra has also performed with major Indian instrumental classical artists all over India and has received many awards for his performance.
