Port Blair, Dec 20: In RSC Badminton tournament held today, in Under -19 girls doubles event Riya Mallick and Hanshika defeated Sweta and Nikita Lal by 21-15 ,15-21 and 21-19. In the Under -17 boys event Sandeep defeated N.S.Karti by 21-17 & 21-16. In Under – 14 boys event Alex defeated Gulanan 21-12 & 21-15. In Under -14 doubles event Tarun & Aditya Sarkar defeated M.Akhilesh and Aswin by 14-21, 21-14 & 21-17. Tomorrow (21.12.13) In the Under -14 girls final Subham will clash with Simran and in the Under – 14 girls doubles event Simran and Subham will clash with Shalini & Basna Bhakta. In Under -17 boys doubles final Sidharth & Akhil Pant will clash with N.S.Karti & Gokulan.
All the events in open category will commence tomorrow. The matches will commence from 5pm at Multipurpose Hal of Netaji Stadium, Port Blair.
