Port Blair, Dec 09: Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress committee has felt the sinking nerves of the employees of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Forest and Plantation Development Corporation Ltd (ANIFPDCL) who are not getting their salaries and wages since October, 2013 and recorded its concern about their hapless condition.
Accordingly, the PCC President, Kuldeep Rai Sharma has met the Lt Governor to day evening and submitted the pathetic condition of the ill fated employees of the Corporation that due to want of fund these employees are not getting their salary and wages in these hard days. He has stated that most of the workers are passing their days on starvation and earnestly requested the Administrator to consider allotment of fund from the AN Administration as a loan to the Corporation which may be recovered after the Corporation gets loan assistance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi. The Administrator has considered the submission of the President PCC and asked the Chief Secretary to release fund to the ANIFPDCL so that one month’s salary and wages are cleared to the staff of the Corporation at an early date. The PCC President is very much thankful to the Administrator for his noble consideration of saving the employees of the corporation from the verge of starvation.
