Port Blair, Dec 08: A historic Rally/Run For Human Rights – 2013 was organized today from Ram Nagar to Subash Gram, Diglipur, North Andaman by Citizen Forum On Human Rights (CFHR) in association with Youth For Human Rights International (YHRI) in order to observe International Human Rights Day (10th December).
The Rally/ Run was flag off by Shri Suboth Mondal, Pradhan, GP Ram Nagar, Shri Samir Halder, Samiti member, Ram Nagar, Shri Anil Mistry, Pradhan, Kalighat in presence of Shri keshab Barikdar, State President, Citizen Forum On Human Rights (CFHR), Youth Representative, International Submit On Human Rights, Youth For Human Rights International (YHRI), A & N Islands and also present Senthil Kumar, District Co-ordinator, Rangat and Shri. M. Raju Join Secretary, Diglipur alongwith other members of Citizen Forum on Human Rights with a blessing of Dr. Vivek Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur.
It was started with remembering Veteran leader Nelson Mandela & Mahatma Gandhi. A short message was given on the articles prescribed and promoted Universal Declaration Of Human Rights by the United Nation Organization (UNO) General Assembly resolution 217 A (III) on 10th December 1948. At least 50 participants took part in unique event and distributed the pamphlets on way to aware the general public.
A petition was also signed by all prominent well wishers, members & light minded individuals & the same is addressed to the Lieutenant Governor, A & N Islands, the National Human Rights Commission & The Ministry Of Law & Justice. The programme was concluded with a valedictory function at Panchayat Hall, GP Subashgram, Diglipur where shri Singaram, Pradhan shared his valuable thoughts along with a boosting address by the State President, CFHR.
