Port Blair, Dec 05: To further the support to the local populace by Andaman & Nicobar Command, INHS Dhanvantari conducted multi-speciality medical camps with support from local administration and civil health authorities at Campbell Bay and Kamorta. These camps, conducted on 29 Nov at Campbell Bay and 02 Dec at Kamorta, evoked an enthusiastic response from the local population. Specialists in Eye, ENT, Paediatrics and Dental Surgery examined over 350 patients including babies, women and elderly people. Apart from diagnosing and managing ailments of routine nature, the doctor diagnosed fresh cases of deaf-mutism, Down’s Syndrome, cataract etc. These patients have been advised to report to GB Pant Hospital / INHS Dhanvantari for further follow up treatment and management. In addition, a large number of patients were given on the spot specific treatment including dental extractions, filling of caries, therapy for chronic ailments etc.
