Port Blair, Dec 02: The Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has organized “a day with physically disabled persons” at sea beach of Wandoor today, which was attended by the Secretary Cooperative, NK Sharma as Chief Guest.
In his inaugural speech NK Sharma has stated that he feels himself honoured to be a part of such a programme which has not only touched his heart but made him feel that he is surrounded by angels and lauded the efforts of the Vice Chairman of the Bank Kuldeep Rai Sharma who made it possible to bring smiles and happiness among these specially abled persons and their family members.
Mr. Chug, Director Social welfare, Smt Ratna Kannan, Chairperson, Social welfare Board, Ms Maraim Bibi, Adhyaksha ZP SA,Rasheed of Tribal Council and DGM,NABARD RK Thanvi, have also recorded their pleasure to be the part of the programme.
Earlier Ravinder Rao, the Managing Director and other officials of the bank have left no stone unturned to entertain the gatherings with songs and dance. Being inspired with their performances, many specially abled persons came forward to come on the stage and opened their talents before the gatherings.
The Vice Chairman Kuldeep Rai Sharma in his address stated that specially abled persons are also an important and integral parts of our society. They are the hidden treasures of talents who can prove themselves in any challenging fields, if given proper guidance and platforms.
“Total 236 disabled persons of South Andaman, along with their family members joined the programme whose innocent smiles have made our day a memorable one,” said kuldeep.
During the programme all the 236 specially abled persons were given gift as a token on love from the Bank. Captains of Nancowri and Nicobar also graced the occasion beside PRI members who all have attended the programme to inspire the specially abled persons and make them understand that they are not alone.
