Port Blair, Nov 18: The Zonal Level Science & Craft Exhibition 2013-14 was held at the CWC Ground Car Nicobar on 14th & 15th November 2013. Mr. Jina Prakash, Executive Engineer was the chief guest on this occasion. All the 14 Schools enthusiastically participated in this event. All the Heads of Department were invited and they have appreciated the working models made by the students. In the Science category, GSSS Lapathy, GSSS Malacca and GSS Mus were adjudged the first, second and third respectively.
Attractive Indigenous Craft items were also displayed during the exhibition and GSSS Malacca displayed the best items and was adjudged the first followed by GSSS Lapathy and GSS Mus.
Along with the Exhibition, Childrens’ Day was celebrated in all the schools in a befitting manner. Prabhat Pherys, Garlanding of the First Prime Minister of India – Mr. Pt. Jahawahar Lal Nehru, Speeches by the teachers and Students, House Wise Wall Magazine etc. were displayed in the schools. In the culmination of the celebration Inter schools cultural dance competitions was organised for the Primary Section only. Government Model Primary School, Headquarter stood first followed by Govt. P.S. Kinyuka second and GSSS Malacca came third.
Smti. Ireena Mark, 1st Headmen, Small Lapathy Village was the Chief Guest. In the beginning Mr. H. Nathaniel, Education Officer welcome the Chief guest and all other dignitaries present on this occasion. Smti. Sangeetha Chand, Principal GSSS Malacca proposed the vote of thanks.
