Port Blair: Nov 12: The Member of Parliament Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has raised the demand to provide age relaxation to the aspiring candidates for the post of PGT in the Education department. Appreciating the decision of the Administration to provide age relaxation to the candidates for the post of Primary School Teacher and Graduate Trained Teacher, in his letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, he said that the same benefit of relaxation of age should be given to the candidates for the Post Graduate Teacher also. Mr. Ray said that many candidates in the Islands have been waiting for the job opportunity for the last many years and now they have crossed the prescribed age limit as defined in the eligibility criteria. He urged to provide one time age relaxation for the post of PGT so that the candidates may avail the opportunity of getting employment.
