Port Blair, Nov 01: A Career Guidance cum counseling program for the senior students of GSSS Sabari was organized by the school on 1st November 2013 at Zilla Parishad Auditorium Rangat.
Smt R Maneka, IAS formally inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In her address she stressed the need for a career and effective utilization of human resources. She added that students should choose their career according to their personality. She threw light on the career prospects associated with the prestigious civil services examinations.
For adding information to the students about Banking sector avenues Shri T Anifa, Branch Manager, SBI shared his views. Shri N P Singh, Dy Commandant, Coast Guard unit, Mayabunder shared the information regarding career prospects in Defence with special reference to Coast Guard. Shri Amit Anand, IFS, DFO Rangat also threw light on the various career opportunities associated within the circle of Forest and Environment.
Shri M K Sreedas, AA, with his information package on career prospects in the field Agriculture joined in the second session which was followed by an inspiring session by Dr M Joy, Chief Medical Officer,CHC Rangat. He indepth shared the vast prospects associated
with the Medical Industry.
Earlier in the inaugural session, Principal of the school welcomed the gathering and informed that this maiden effort taken by the school will definitely help students to choose right career in their future.
The program ended with the vote of thanks by Smt Mariyam Joy,PGT.
