Port Blair, Oct 03: Aberdeen Police has arrested the culprit who had trespassed into the MP’s house in the month of April, on 03/04/13 offering to supply venison.
A case had been registered at PS Aberdeen vide Crime No. 143/13 dated 03/04/13 u/s 448/500 IPC in this regard. While the Hon’ble MP was in New Delhi, the unknown person had trespassed into his house and stated to the maid that he had brought venison on the order of Hon’ble MP. When the maid told this over phone to the MP, he had denied it. As soon as the MP started enquiry who had sent him, the miscreant fled from the spot.
Police had prepared a sketch of the unknown person and had been on the lookout ever since. On 1st October, information was received about the sighting of a man at Mohanpura, who resembled the sketch. Immediately police apprehended the person and on interrogation, he admitted his guilt. He has been identified as Vijay Kumar (30) yrs. Light House attendant, r/o RGT Road, Port Blair. He is found to be the accused in three cases of theft and burglary in the past.
