Port Blair, Sept 4: As every year this year too, the Directorate of Education is celebrating week long State level Teachers’ Day in a very befitting manner by conducting various competitions for the Teachers and Staff of Education Department.
On this occasion, the Lt. Governor, Lt. General (Retd.), PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, AK Singh will be the chief guest while Learned Chief Secretary, A&N Admn. will be the guest of honour during the State level function on August 5, 2013 at 6.00 pm at Girls School Auditorium.
The special attraction of the function will be a colourful cultural programme by the teachers, “The Best Teacher Award” Ceremony to the teachers of nine educational zones and the prize distribution to the winners of various competitions organized during Teachers’ Day celebration, a communication from the Asst. Director (Sports) Directorate of Education said here today.
