Port Blair, Aug 14: A cultural programme based on patriotic songs, patriotic dance was staged by the students of M.G.Govt.College, Mayabunder on the eve of Independence Day-2013 in the college auditorium. The programme was dedicated to the freedom fighters and martyrs. Almost 12 programmes of different traits were staged which was highly appreciated by each and everyone. Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner(N&M Andaman) graced the occasion and lauded the efforts of the college students to stage such kind of programme which is unique and first time in the college. Dr.R.N.Rath, Principal also praised the students for their efforts and assured that all possible help will be provided to stage cultural and extra curricular activities to boost the hidden talents of the students for time to come. Mr. B.B.Mondal, Assistant Professor in English proposed vote of thanks. The entire programme was directed and coordinated by Mr. Ananta Ram, famous musician and his team.
